Our educational project
Agora Princess Margaret International School belongs to the prestigious international group Globeducate, with more than 60 schools in 12 countries, and its educational project is defined by 5 distinctive elements: the International Baccalaureate as a model for the future, multilingualism, STEAM, sport and the commitment to provide our pupils with the tools to grow up as global citizens who can shape the world.
IB: An education for the future
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) offers a curriculum that is universally accepted by higher education institutions throughout the world. The programme delivers broad-based, academically demanding courses for students, who are guided along this journey by highly qualified, professional teachers working within an innovative educational framework. At Agora Princess Margaret International School we teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP). In addition, the school is working on a new expansion project to be able to offer the Diploma Programme (DP).
Multilingualism
We prepare our students for an international future. We offer a multilingual educational project, with linguistic immersion beyond English, which allows them to master the official languages along with English. In terms of certifications, students can take exams at the school to obtain official qualifications (Young Learners, Key for Schools, First, Advance and official University of Cambridge exams). To complete the linguistic programme, international events, exchanges and stays in different destinations are available.
STEAM: Science and Arts
Art and science through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) competencies is a pedagogical approach that advocates collaborative work and the integration of highly related competencies. These 5 skills are key to children's all-round development, as they provide multiple cognitive and personal benefits. Twe work with LEGO® Education SPIKE ™ Prime and LEGO Mindstorm to provide our students with the best learning skills in programming and robotics. Expressive arts take place both in curricular hours and also as an extracurricular activity.
Sports and Well-being
Sports help to develop and promote values such as perseverance, self-improvement and teamwork, as well as strengthening social skills. At Agora Princess Margaret International School we instill in our pupils a passion for sport and healthy lifestyle habits so that they become physically and emotionally balanced adults. The school has a gymnasium, a multi-purpose basketball and football pitch and an outdoor swimming pool. In addition, we have an exclusive healthy dining programme with our own kitchen and cooks and nutritionists who will delight all pupils, taking into account their needs or allergies.
Shaping the World
Children entering education today will graduate as young adults in 2045. We must prepare them for jobs and technologies that do not exist today, to solve problems that have not yet been foreseen. As a school in the Globeducate group, we are committed to the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, which is why we have reached agreements with internationally renowned organisations such as Eco-Schools and WWF (World Wildlife Fund), driving projects to mobilise a community of over 100,000 people. We must encourage our students to take charge and shape their own future: we want them to be global citizens who can shape the world.
