Sports and Well-being
The psychomotor development of children during the first years of life is essential for correct progress in cognitive, linguistic and social development, which is why, from an early age, we encourage them to learn and explore the world around them in a sensory way.
At Agora Princess Margaret International School, sport is an integral part of the curriculum, instilling in our pupils a passion for sport and healthy habits so that they become physically and emotionally balanced adults.
Healthy education
The school has a gymnasium, a multi-purpose basketball and football pitch, an outdoor swimming pool and an attic with a large sports ground.
As well as taking part in sports within the mainstream curriculum, students at Agora Princess Margaret International School are also invited to participate in a range of international sporting events organised by the Globeducate group. These events celebrate sporting excellence and healthy competition and provide an opportunity for our international community to gather together. The Global Olympics is an international Olympic-style event that brings together over 500 athletes from Globeducate’s schools around the world. In addition to promoting an active lifestyle, our students also participate in a comprehensive health project, focussing on good nutrition and healthy eating.
Canteen:
We are convinced of the need to follow a balanced diet and, for this reason, in our centre we follow a recommendation made by nutritionists and carried out by a specialised kitchen team.
The centre adapts the daily menu according to the specific needs of the pupils (allergies, special diets or illnesses) with personal attention to each pupil.
Extracurricular sporting activities
Activities such as psychomotor education or beginner’s sports lead up to sports like football, basketball, rhythmic gymnastics, judo and chess, and swimming at external facilities, as well as specifically working on physical fitness.
Mental Health and Educational Psychology Department
In our centre we have an educational psychologist with the aim of guiding and advising parents, pupils and teachers. A differential service dedicated to dealing individually with the educational needs of the pupils and attending to the diversity of the pupils, collaborating with the families to achieve educational excellence for each and every one of our pupils.
