International Events
Our school offers its students some truly unique and international experiences in our language immersion project, exchanges and visits abroad.Throughout the school year we take part in a variety of international activities and programmes that enhance our pupils’ global awareness and their respect for other cultures.
These programmes and activities enable the students at Agora Princess Margaret International School to interact with students from other countries and cultures. They improve their language skills while gaining a global and open view of the world and a respect for other points of view. Globeducate organise a series of events during the school year that bring pupils from different schools together.
Globeducate International Events
International events are a fundamental part of the curriculum of Globeducate as they foster the global readiness of the pupils. It is by means of these international events that our pupils improve their language skills and meet students from other countries as part of a unique learning experience.
These are a few of our top events:
- Model United Nations: simulations of the United Nations where the pupils become country delegates and debate global issues in English.
- Academic Olympics: science, mathematics, and technology Olympics where pupils from different schools make new friends while they compete in an international and multilingual atmosphere.
- International Music Festival: during a week pupils show how passionate they are about music in a professional way.
- Global Olympics: a sporting competition where pupils show their skills in a variety of sports (football, rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, athletics, among others).
- Arts Competition: an art competition where the pupils exhibit all their artistic creativity and sensibility with their own creations.
- Student Leadership Summit: this summit brings together senior students aged 17-18 for a packed timetable of seminars, presentations, interactive activities targeting topics such as public speaking and communication skills, problem solving and a key note speaker.
- Iberia CUP: a popular festival of basketball and football open to girls and boys aged 12 to 14, always hosted by one of our schools in Spain or Portugal. The event includes opportunities for students to mix with those from other schools and to socialise after the sporting fixtures.

International Day
This celebration, which brings together the whole of our community, is a way of showing the harmony that exists in our diverse and multicultural international school. It is a live representation of all the nationalities in the school, where stands are set up and displays show different customs and traditions.
European Youth Parliament
The European Youth Parliament was set up in France in 1987, is present in 40 countries and its first conferences in Spain took place just over 10 years ago. It is an educational debate forum, all in English, where issues such as climate change or the refugee crisis are debated. Its aim is to make young people responsible citizens by involving them in the European political reality and promoting their intercultural understanding and sensibility.
